"The promises of God without the presence of God will always destroy the people of God."

Diving into the heart of Exodus 34, we encounter a profound truth about God’s nature. Moses, standing before God, hears the Lord declare His character: compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, yet just and righteous. These attributes paint a picture of a God who is deeply invested in our well-being and yet unyielding in His justice. The passage challenges us to reflect on who God really is, beyond just His name. We are reminded that knowing God means understanding His unwavering love and His commitment to justice. This duality can seem contradictory, but it finds its resolution in Jesus, who embodies both God's mercy and justice. This teaches us that we can trust God's promises, as they come with His enduring presence, offering us grace, hope, and a path to reconciliation.
