When are applications due?

  • Most residents apply at the start of the year, raise support over the summer, and begin the program in August. Applications are closed from August-December and will reopen January 1 of each year. We do, however, make some exceptions to this, so feel free to email with questions and interest at any time!

Do residents work full or part time?

  • The residency can be part or full time, although most of our residents serve in a full-time capacity.

What areas of the church do you have positions open for the residency right now?

  • We have residents that serve in every area of our church, from college & youth ministry to worship & adult ministry. Roles can also be flexible based on your future goals and areas that you would like to be developed as well. Reach out the the Associate Residency Director about what specific roles are open currently.

What will my schedule look like as a resident?

  • Every resident work with a specific staff team within the church and much of their weekly schedule will be determined by that team’s staff meetings & ministry events. However, each resident can expect to work a 40hr work week with flexible hours as many ministry events happen outside of the typical 9-5. Residents will also regularly gather with other residents for trainings and development.

Is the residency a paid position?

  • Yes! You will support raise your salary and upon being accepted to the program will receive training and coaching on how to do this.

Why do you have Residents support raise?

  • We have several reasons for asking our residents to raise support. First, we believe that raising financial support is rooted in Scripture. There are countless examples in the Bible from the Old Testament to the New of individuals and groups being financially supported by the community of faith to do the works of the ministry. While some individuals may receive their support from a church congregation, many others receive their support through the generous partnership of individual believers. As a Resident, you are not only raising money, you are developing a ministry support team that will be praying for you and involved in what God is doing through you in a very significant way! Developing this team helps individuals in our church and other churches participate in the joy and fruit of ministry.
  • Finally, support raising gives our Residents an opportunity to grow in his her her faith, seeing and experiencing God’s provision in a unique and special way. While this may seem like a daunting task, we have seen the Lord use it over and over again over the past decade to help Residents grow in their faith and trust in Christ!

Where do residents live?

  • Residents live throughout the Fort Worth area, often choosing to rent houses or apartments with other Doxology residents or young adults in our congregation. Residents are responsible for finding their own housing.

This is all great, but I have more questions before I apply. What should I do?

  • Email Helen Weitman, our Associate Residency Director with any questions you have. She would love to hear from you! hweitman@doxology.church

Baptism

Sundays

8:05 am

Baptism is an external celebration of a change that has happened in you. When you connect with Christ, you have a new identity in Christ and you are forgiven from sin and its eternal results. The image of baptism connects you with the death and resurrection of Christ, and the water represents the “washing away” of your sins as you trusted Christ. In baptism, you have the opportunity to publicly express your commitment to Christ and share with others the change that He has brought about in your life. Ready to take that step? Use the Connection Card link and check "I want to get baptized."

Nov 24th - Dec 8th

10:00 am

For this Christmas Season, one of our Local Mobilization serving opportunities at Doxology, we will be partnering with South Hills Elementary and YoungLives again to bring Christmas gifts to families who might not otherwise have a Christmas. On Sunday, November 24th, we will have a table set up for you to come by and pick up a Wishlist for a family. The Wishlist will have clothing sizes, specific needs, and a few items that are wanted by the children. We are hoping to limit the spending to approximately $100. You can bring the gifts unwrapped to Doxology, bundled together with your family’s # on the gifts on Sunday, December 8th to the same area that you picked up the Wishlist from.
