We promise to send you home with an opportunity to study Scripture on your own throughout the week and then return and share what God has taught you!

TUESDAY MORNINGS

January 20 - March 31, 9:30-11:30am, The HUB

Option 1:

More Than Enough – God’s Strength in Our Weakness in 2 Corinthians by Christine Hoover, Book $21

Led by Abby Cielonko, Julie Moynihan, Christy Opitz

In this 8-session, verse-by-verse study on 2 Corinthians, Christine Hoover guides you through one of Paul’s most personal letters to discover how God is the ultimate source of the strength and sufficiency you need. You’ll find that God gives you strength to go on—through troubles, disappointments, and temptations—and strength to go forth, equipping you to serve Him and compelling you to share the gospel. Weakness is not a disqualifier or a flaw in our design. In fact, God shows Himself most powerfully in and through our fragility and vulnerability. We’re called, then, not to work harder or to hide our weaknesses, but to call upon God’s infinite resources and rely on Him.

Option 2:

When Mothering is Hard and No One Sees: Where Gritty Meets Glorious in God’s Eternal Plan for Moms by Shalene Roberts, Pre-Order Book and Materials $20

Led by Author Shalene Roberts

You may be a younger mom or an older mom, a mom of toddlers or teens. The children you care for may be biological, adoptive, foster, or grandchildren. In When Mothering Is Hard and No One Sees, you will feel seen for your own motherhood struggles and challenges. This book helps you gain a new sense of how God views you as you move toward the hope He has revealed to Shalene: a bigger picture of being a mom with an impact that ripples throughout eternity. In creation and in redemption, you were made―and remade―to mother. In these pages, you will discover…

  • God’s original design for motherhood
  • Your position as a daughter of the King, elevating your motherhood role
  • The assurance of abundant forgiveness for mistakes and failures
  • How God has uniquely equipped you for this sacred role―with your specific children
  • How to find true rest amid the never-ending demands

When mothering is hard…God sees. And He will take you from the gritty to the glorious in your journey as a mom.

Option3:

To Be Told – God Invites You to Coauthor Your Future by Dan Allender, Book and Materials $15

Led by Catherine Horton and Emma Norton

Our stories are important, and they give us insight into who we are, how we move through the world, and how we uniquely image God. To Be Told shows us the importance of looking at our stories of heartache and joy. It helps us navigate the themes of those stories which allows us to better understand our unique God given passions and giftings. By engaging with To Be Told, you will gain a deeper understanding of how God has been authoring your life so far and how He invites you to participate as a coauthor in the chapters still to come. In this class, we will discuss the book and explore our own stories personally and together.

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS

January 21- March 11, 6:30-8pm, Room 216

“Colossians and Philemon (Meet Me In the Bible)" by Colleen Searcy, $15

Led by Andrée Fontenot, Jennifer Martin, Ellen Ruthart, Emma Shorey

While confined to house arrest, the apostle Paul wrote a letter to the Colossian church and to the man who hosted the church in his house. Paul’s words brought clarity to confusion, hope where there was fear, and called for unity amid this especially diverse congregation. His letters were not only reminders for them, but also for modern readers in the church today, of the eternal impact of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection. This inductive study helps readers observe and interpret Scripture and apply it to everyday life. Each chapter explores a section of the biblical text, expounding themes including the fruit of the gospel, the heart of the gospel, what to put off and what to put on as a Christian, and the unity that the gospel brings.

Children's ministry available for Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from birth through 5th grade with reservation at link above.
